My husband and I were in Rosemont a while back for Wizard World and we spent some time exploring the area. Rosemont is a small suburb of Chicago, backed up to the Chicago airport and home to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont Theater, and Fashion Outlets of Chicago. It’s also the location of the MB Financial Park which houses several delicious restaurants and an amazing outdoor commons area for concerts in the summer and ice skating in the winter.
Sitting down for dinner one night, we were lucky enough to catch one of these free concerts. Guitar notes weaving through the crowd and strings of multi-colorerd lights glowing above, it makes for a whimsical evening 🙂
Searching for sustenance another night, we wandered into a parking structure filled with artwork. Some of the pieces were well-known, but with a Rosemont twist.
There were plenty of impressive original pieces as well.
It’s always an adventure seeing where a little wanderlust will take you 🙂
