Summerfest is America’s largest music festival and I had the opportunity to check it out!
Held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this yearly celebration takes over the shores of Lake Michigan for two weeks (from the end of June through the beginning of July), offering multiple music stages, vendors, food, and plenty of beer (because it’s Wisconsin). There are activities for kids, drum circles, and even fireworks 🙂
Whether you like country, rock, folk, rap, EDM, or alternative, Summerfest has something for everyone. Performers this year included The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Luke Bryan, Pink, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Big Sean, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crow, A Day to Remember, The Moody Blues, Shinedown, Steve Aoki, AWOLNATION, Third Eye Blind, Tegan and Sara, Bleachers, Phillip Phillips, Ludacris, Chevelle, Hanson, and so many more! Besides the big names on the main stages, several smaller stages are open to local bands, like The Rebel Stage and The Ground Floor stage.
This year is the 50th anniversary of this amazing concert series, so the celebration is bigger than ever! Here are some of my photos from the event 🙂
