Traverse City Downtown

On our trip to Traverse City, we got a chance to check out the adorable downtown area. Traverse City is a resort town located on the shores of Lake Michigan. It’s best known for its annual National Cherry Festival and Traverse City State Park, which has a gorgeous beach with great trails.

We meandered between unique artisan shops, art galleries, and plenty of restaurants. The community is ultra dog friendly, so we didn’t feel out of place as we walked our own little man πŸ™‚

The architecture of the area was an interesting mix of old, refurbished buildings and newer construction. The cream brick made an interesting contrast against the heavy foliage and the dark blue of the crystal clear lake.

We had to stop for coffee and a delicious gluten-free cookie at Good Harbor Coffee and Bakery while we were at it.

Happy Summer!
