Sometimes it’s nice to do a little traveling right in your own back yard.
My husband and I have been taking advantage of some closer day trips lately, and honestly it’s sometimes even better than our more exotic excursions.
Waukesha is one of those fun places we’ve found in the Midwest, a unique mixture of cute shops (including tons of antique malls), colorful restaurants, and live music. Waukesha was home to Les Paul, the famous guitarist and musician, thus all of the guitar related artwork.
There is a beautiful river front walk and the downtown architecture is a fun mix a traditional stone and modern artisan.
If you’re in Wisconsin and happen to be in the Waukesha area, take a moment to swing by my favorite cafe- The Steaming Cup. Their breakfast choices and sandwiches are delicious and the espresso drinks are amazing!
